Shayna McDaniel-Davis

Shayna was born and grew up in Philadelphia, PA but has lived in southern California since 2011. In 2016, Shayna began her career in women’s health as a labor and delivery nurse after graduating from California State University, Fullerton with her Master’s of Science in Nursing Leadership with honors. Shayna’s experience as a labor and delivery nurse sparked her passion for the birth world. With a desire to provide more comprehensive, personalized care for women, Shayna returned to CSUF in 2019 to become a Certified Nurse Midwife and Board-Certified Woman’s Health Nurse Practitioner. She has spent the last year working in private practice offering women hospital-based midwifery care and is excited to be joining OCWMG. Shayna’s greatest passion lies in supporting women in attaining their desired birthing experience through education, empowerment, and advocacy. She deeply values women’s autonomy and informed decision-making in all aspects of healthcare.

When she is not working, Shayna loves to spend time with her husband, 3-year-old son, and two fur babies. She loves being outdoors, whether at the dog beach or on a hike in the mountains. Other interests include traveling and spending time with her family and friends on the East Coast.
