Christie A. Tran

D.O.

Dedicated to making a difference, Dr. Tran finds joy in knowing that even a small impact on a patient’s life, and by extension their family’s life, makes her work meaningful. She believes strongly in shared decision making and providing culturally sensitive care. For her, treating patients also means helping them understand their health and empowering them to spread awareness in their communities about preventive care and women’s health.

For Dr. Tran, caring for women of all ages and backgrounds feels like supporting her own family, and she cannot imagine being in any other field. The women in Dr. Tran’s family, from her grandmother to her aunts, played a powerful role in inspiring her to become a physician. She admired how they navigated both their personal health and the challenges of a health care system in a foreign country with unique cultural differences, especially in women’s health. Their strength and resilience made a lasting impression, naturally leading her toward a career in medicine.

Dr. Tran earned her medical degree from Des Moines University and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology as the chief resident at Kern Medical Center in Bakersfield, California.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Tran enjoys exploring new coffee shops and restaurants, watching movies, playing games, and spending time at amusement parks and concerts.
